We
will be adding new methods
as we get farther in to
the season. The 2 pictures
contain setups that work
nicely for spring salmon.
When fishing for springers
we anchor as they are all
ways on the move when the
season first opens. By
July they will start to
slow down and hold in some
of the deeper holes. The
picture with the spinner
blade is made by Oregon
tackle it is a cv7 run
your main line to a 3 way
swivel off the bottom of
the swivel run a dropper
of about 14 inches off the
side of the swivel run
your leader to the spinner
it should be about 3 to 5
feet long you will want to
run 2 bead chain swivels
in the leader to keep the
line from twisting. You
will want to put some
scent of your chose on the
spinner. The other picture
is how we fish bait for
springers. We setup the
same except we add a spin
in glow above the hook and
a few beads for it to spin
on and some fresh roe and
you're all set to go. Make
sure you are using enough
weight that it stays on
the bottom and the bait
will rise up in the
current above the bottom.
You should be able to feel
the spinner blades turning
if everything is working
correctly. Thanks Tim King
