My
Brother Bryan experiencing what fly fishing on the Klamath is all about!
Come treat yourself to the very best steelhead fly fishing that Northern
California has to offer. I've been fly fishing the waters of the
Northwest for steelhead since I was 14 years old. My first
steelhead came to the fly on the famed North Umpqua River in Oregon.
When I was sixteen I began the art of spey casting and on my very first
pool in the camp water on the the North Umqua I was into a screaming hot
eight pound native. I was addicted. My addiction hit an all
time peak when I visited British Columbia during the phenomenal runs of
2002 and 2003. I caught so many chrome
bright steelhead swinging flies on my spey rod in the 15-20 pound class
that my life completely turned focus towards steelhead. From there
I ended up spending more time fly fishing the Klamath River than any
other when I moved to Northern California for College. This river
has provided me with literally countless days of world class action on
steelhead. I have fly fished well over twenty rivers in the
Northwest from California to British Columbia and I rate the Klamath
right up there with the best rivers to pursue steelhead with a fly in the world.

Watching these fish come up in clear water and take your fly just under
the surface is a thrill that only these fish can provide.

A day of fly fishing on the Klamath is a true wilderness experience
which includes beautiful scenery like pictured here. You will
likely see bears, bald eagles, golden eagles, osprey, otters, seals, and
of course the mighty Klamath River steelhead.

Who says Klamath River steelhead don't get big?

Seeing Bears is always a treat when fishing the Klamath.
